Winbig7, one of Asia’s biggest online gaming sites, announced a new partnership with the Kawasaki Frontale, a professional Japanese football club that plays in J1 tier of the Japan Professional Football League. Winbig7 will be prominently advertised on signs at Kawasaki Todoroki Stadium and on all of Frontale’s official social media accounts as the team’s official fantasy sports site.
“The Frontales are ecstatic to be collaborating with Winbig7 to help them grow and expand their fantasy sports platform lineup, as well as broaden their presence in Japan,” says Yoshihiro Warashina, Kawasaki Frontale’s current chairman.
Winbig 7 has also donated $100,000 to The Kawasaki Frontale Foundation as part of the agreement. With the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization is focusing its efforts on alleviating food shortages and providing assistance to frontline workers, in addition to their other community outreach programs in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. A portion of the generous donation will be allocated to some staff of the club who were furloughed at the height of the pandemic.
Kelvin Ho, the Media Director of Winbig7 commented, “I’m looking forward to seeing Winbig7 in such a world-class city and being a part of a team that is so closely connected to the community. The Frontale’s have made it a priority to look after Kawasaki’s frontline employees and to assist them where they are required. The club’s unrelenting commitment for its players, supporters, and community has been expressed through the foundation.”
Following a similar announcement with PSV Eindhoven football club last month, this demonstrates Winbig7’s commitment to the National Football League and its fans. The agreement confirms Winbig7’s belief that these football fan communities have a strong desire to play fantasy sports games that allow them to focus on their favourite local clubs and players.
